Anisa Benitez is an actor, filmmaker, and mindful creator based in NYC. Her acting training began in 2016 on-stage in improvisation and in 2020 she transitioned to on-screen. Since then she's collaborated with numerous filmmakers (resume).
In her own work, her mission is to share compelling stories to raise consciousness. Sunset Orange (2022); written, directed, and starring Anisa; was awarded Best Indie Short Film at the New York Movie Awards and was selected for New Faces New Voices Film Festival.
Anisa's guided meditations can be found across social media, on BuzzFeed, and on her podcast No Starving Artist. As a mental health advocate and educational TikTok Partner she has worked with top brands to share more mindful content, such as Starbucks, Keys SoulCare, Wix, BetterHelp, Adobe, Lincoln, and DoSomething.org among others.
Prior to pursuing her acting career she led marketing at iconic brands, such as YouTube, Google, TIME Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Fortune Magazine, and RCA Records under Sony Music Entertainment. In 2020 she transitioned from Brand Marketing Manager for YouTube Music and Marketing Consultant at Google's Area 120, a startup incubator to pursue life as an artist.
She's been featured on Buzzfeed, TODAY, Drew Barrymore Show, In The Know, Yahoo, Goodful, TikTok, Kno., Women of Silicon Valley, All the Pretty Birds, Create! Magazine's Women's Issue, Kulture Hub, Woke & Wired Podcast, among other places.
